IBEW 876 Membership Picnic

Dear Sisters and Brothers:

This is to notify you that IBEW Local 876 and the RENEW Committee is planning a picnic for this summer. All active and retired members and their immediate families are invited and urged to attend.

The picnic will take place at the River Country Campground located at 6281 River Road in Evart, Michigan on August 24, 2024 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm.

We have reserved 50 campsites to be filled on a first come-first serve basis(one camping unit and two vehicles per site maximum) and they will be available on Friday and Saturday nights, August 23 & 24. Please register for a campsite by JULY 31st!

They do offer tubing trips for interested members. The campground also has a volleyball court, basketball court, and a rec room with ping pong tables, pool tables and more.

Food and beverages will be provided and there will be several prize drawings for all ages. There will be a variety of items included for the drawings.

We plan on having activities for the kids including a bounce house/slide.

If you have a side-by-side please bring it as we may have an impromptu side-by-side ride.

We are in need of approximately 10 volunteers to help with games, beverages, clean-up, etc. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Memory at the Local Union hall.

There is no cost for member’s and their immediate family members to attend the picnic.

A letter was sent out with a registration page attatched for Campsites.  Please fill in your name, address and telephone number and mail it back to Memory at the union hall. If you want to reserve a campsite, please check the appropriate day(s) that you will be camping. We will need to know the total number of your immediate family members that will be attending the picnic. After your reservation has been received, the appropriate number of tickets will be mailed to you. Please bring the tickets with you on the day of the picnic as they will be used for the prize drawings. If you do not have one, or didnt get one, please respond to this email, or email Memory to reserve your site.

Please remember that the campsites will be filled on a first come-first served basis. Send in your reservation as soon as possible. We need to get an early headcount so the meal and other activities can be properly planned. We anticipate a great turnout, so make your reservations early. We will look forward to seeing you there.
